The rock-hewn Sveta Petka Chapel is located in the town of Tran. A mystery surrounds of the history of this chapel as it is believed that St Petka was hiding in the cave after being fiercely prosecuted for her Christian beliefs during the 10-th century.
Later on the cave has been turned into a chapel. Thus the chapel is actually situated in a natural cave. In the cave one can see a stone in the form of a round bread with a hole in the middle and it is decorated with solar geometric motives similar to the decorations on the traditional Easter breads.
The cave ittself is situated amongst beautiful nature and the view over the town of Tran and the surrounding nature is worth experiencing.
Beglik Tash is a Thracian rock sanctuary and observatory, located on the Southern Black Sea Coast, close to the town of Primorsko, at the foot of the mytical Strandzha mountain.
The place has been used by the Thracian tribes for performing religious ceremonies. There are a few huge rock formations- one of them resembles a Thracian sun clock; another one- a cave which is in the shape of a woman's lap, and a third one is a huge rock, which stands only on two points. There is also a huge stone throne.
These are volcanic stones dating back to the Mesozoic Era.
The palce is an open air museum, and a guiding service is available at your request (recommended).
