Winetasting in Bulgaria

WINE TASTING IN BULGARIA

Wine tasting appears to be a relatively new busIness in Bulgaria, but has been developing at a fast pace over the course of the last decade. Most wineries are concentrated in Southern Bulgaria and would offer its visitors wine tasting tours, some of them even feature spa procedures with wine products. Within a single day 2-3 wineries can be visited at a more relaxed pace, and within several days respectively, most of them.

In the village of Brestovitsa, which is 15 km away from the second largest city-Plovdiv- there are 4 wineries-"Todoroff", "New life", "Villa Vineferra", and "Bonini".

In close proximity thereis another cluster of wineries, situated in the Pazardjik region- "Besa Valli", "Pamidovo", and "Starata izba".

There are 3 more regions with wineries within a few kilometers from one another- one in the sub-Balkan region , one- along the river Maritsa, and a third one along the Black sea coast. Most wineries would offer sightseeing tours, wine tasting and tasting of local food specialties.

Everything else is up to your imagination:-)
